The freshman year of college is special. You learn independence and develop an identity. This blog is designed to help new and prospective NCCU freshmen by offering advice and announcements throughout the year. Hopefully you can relate to and learn from some of the experiences and advice you read here, and know that you are not alone in the journey towards achieving your degree and finding yourself at NCCU.

NCCU First-Year Student Blogger of the Week: Katrina
Katrina
NCCU Class of 2013
Hometown: Wilmington, NC
Major: Political Science
She calls her blog, "NCCU Class of 2013 - My Life."
In an honest account of her first week and a half as an NCCU student, Katrina expressed the following:
"This is my first year @ NCCU let alone in college. I have only been here for 15 days and have felt like my world had been flipped upside down, but yet I still stand....My first week here my mother came to visit from Wilmington two times, which made me want to go home even more....But I believe as the year goes along I will find myself in a more "home" type enviroment. This is just the begginging because the best is yet to come."
